Jason Scott Stewart, a native son of Albuquerque, NM, currently resides in the mountains behind the city. He says: "There's a mystical presence about this place. I'm hoping it will serve as the inspiration to raise the music to the next level". Stewart is entirely self-taught, save for acing every possible guitar course in high school, receiving a write-up in the school yearbook, receiving a Letter and two Bars in guitar, receiving two "Superior" ratings in a city-wide competition, playing in eight guitar concerts and assemblies (to many standing ovations), and, finally, receiving the only scholarship offered for guitar. He took some jazz lessons early on and then spent hours on end, practicing rigorously (up to 10 hours in one sitting) for the next decade. He is a total original and strives every day to learn more. His appetite is voracious when it comes to "The Music". He had an obvious attraction to the guitar at the age of twelve years old. Also, his versatility knows no bounds. His keyboard playing is second only to his guitar playing. His bass playing is on the level of bassists that have committed their entire lives to it. His range of material is just as impressive. It runs from expansive movie soundtracks to blazing shred metal. He's also an advanced lyricist, vocalist and has been recording and engineering his own material for over ten years. Jason Stewart feels like he hasn't even begun, yet. Hold on to your hats!
